I suspect we all know that one can price compare QVC to other stores in every category. Yet that's not what was stated in the OP's post #1 or #7.

I'm not a fan of hyperbole.

Every year I enjoy looking at what's new. I grow tired and bored with looking at my same old decorations year after year. Each October I go through items I have for both indoor and outside and decide what to keep and what to donate.

My days of holding on to the Polonaise, Kurt Adler, and old Germany ornaments are gone.  I avoid glass. Now a days I drop things too easily. I buy new shatterproof. I like to see what's new, and the improvement in products each year. I eliminated plug-in electric items and have gone to battery operated only, both inside and outside of the house. Many are powered by rechargeable batteries.

Seeing what QVC has to offer during CIJ before any other retailer, affords me the opportunity to plan ahead to decorate. You can order, and basically put something on hold, and not have to pay for months in advance. That means you are free to see that other store have to offer once their merchandise comes in. See something you like more? Then cancel your QVC order. Win-win for me.

@AuntG,

That's funny. Very inventive and better than a scrooge.😁

@BoopOMatic   There was nothing nasty about it.  The original poster is making fun of anyone who enjoyed today's holiday show and purchased anything.  I don't see you calling her out for that.

You can politely sit back down now.

No, I'll stand. You can sit down though.

I didn't read where the OP was making fun of anyone. She just gave her opinion that some stuff is overpriced and can be found at dollar stores.  You may not agree with her and that's fine.

Thanks for the reminder.  I want to pick-up a small bucket today at the Dollar Store; hopefully it costs only $1.00.

I bought the bucket but it didn't cost $1.00.  I'd forgotten that Dollar Tree changed to $1.25 Tree back in January  Smiley Sad

Cracker Barrel always has beautiful decor items that you never see anywhere else.

I enjoy watching the CIJ shows when I have time, such as in the middle of the night because I can't sleep. It is hot here in Az and watching the Christmas segments if Hallmark Chrsitmas isn't on makes me feel cooler lol.

I have enough Christmas decor, so I don't buy.   I used to love Lisa Robertson's Christmas shows because she gave you ideas and suggestions on decorating.  Now I watch her on Facebook during the Christmas holiday. I love how she decorates Christmas trees, they look like a work of art.  I did my tree following her instructions and I have received many complements. It does take me an entire day to do it however. But the tree looks beautiful.

I second the glass stuff. I am too clumsy and I have satillo floors that are unforgiving.

Love the cracker barrel resturants. Always go when we are traveling in the midwest. I wish they were in the northeast. I love their variety of food. Anybody know if they still have the liver and onions meal. It was my favorite.
