Complaints logged in forums are not addressed unless they are ones personal in nature like problems with an order.  Suggestions appear  if reasonable are addressed by the mods.  The forums are not the Qs' focus group because.

Read carefully. I think you'll see that many of The Chronic Complainers (its like a club) also like to boast that they rarely or never watch QVC and rarely, if ever, buy anything.
So odd, many of these non-customers see and hear so much to complain about, and rush here to post to each other all about it.

After July 4, retail goes into fall clothing. They also go to enormous summer sales of 25%, 50% and 75% off.

The Q's stuff will head to the warehouses; fall stuff will come out; and Christmas in July will arrive.

This is the time of year I will pick up super sales, especially brand shoes from everywhere!

This time is also when I reach for the remote even faster!  I HATE the introduction of Christmas and know my opinion doesn't matter.

So I will watch home shopping much less from now on.  It is so nice when they are NOT pushing Christmas.  Oh well.

I disagree that the forums don't represent other QVC customers.  I think they would see any complaint by other viewers represented here.

Just because people don't participate in a forum doesn't mean they don't think the same things.  QVC or any company would be very wise to look at what is said.  They can learn a LOT about their business here if they bother to look.

QVC listened to customers requesting California Gold Rush and Big Bonanza Silver Day to return: they even promoted the events this year as "You asked, for it and we heard you!" Scott Grimes mentioned that he reads the threads so I think QVC is well aware of customer complaints on the boards and they comply if it they deem it good for their business.

I also think that the Q wants younger shoppers and is trying hard to entice them in but as much as the young set loves shopping on line, they really seem not to have much interest in shopping channels, so the Q is left with the older folks that they try to please.

But sales are not anywhere near what they once were and as hard as the Q is trying, (another channel, more TSVs, more electronics, Zulily, etc.).... their reputation is not what it once was either.  And that is what is being reflected in many threads here.

Unless the Q can get the young set to shop with them, to build up a young, hip shopping experience that encourages them to buy, the Q will probably never again reach the heights they once had.... I think QVC cares greatly but the answer isn't simple.

I agree how they and others are chasing the younger buyer.  It is getting ridiculous. QVC needs to lead the pack and embrace the shoppers they have and make them feel special!  Guess what - it is the boomers and above that have the money the other generations are living in their parents basements.  Follow the money not the lack of money or debit.

I don't buy as much as I used to because I can often buy something comparable cheaper somewhere else, but I still buy from QVC.  My mom still makes several purchases each month just like she always has.

I may make a lot of negative comments about QVC here in the forums, and honestly, I'm leaning towards a "no" answer to the question about whether or not they really care, but I am an optimistic hanging on to the hope that someday QVC will return to the top of the list as one of my favorite channels to watch and places to shop.  Fingers are crossed that the new hosts will do well and that they will retain and continue featuring the hosts I enjoy watching.
