Do the vendors see their food reviews?

I was hoping they do.  I will not order any food items until there is packing and shipping improvements.  Most of the reviews I read are about packaging and shipping issues and not about the product itself.  I sure hope QVC communicates to their food vendors about this on going problem.

Re: Do the vendors see their food reviews?

@northiie57   Of course the vendors can see the reviews.... Anyone can.  Everything I've ever gotten has been nicely packaged.  If I'd gotten a product with inadequate packaging, I'd call the vendor and report it.  They should appreciate hearing from customers, getting their feedback.  They don't get to see how things arrive.

I heard Gary Goben and Valerie say they do, so I suppose others do.

I only had one issue with a cake caused by a shipper delay.  It was sent 2 day, received 7 days later.

@northiie57   Yes they can, but if they actively do is entirely up to the specific vendor.  Most want to know customer feedback, but you can never count on all of them taking the time to do it on a consistent basis.

I had a problem with the packaging of My Grandma's Blueberry and Patriot cakes.  These cakes are much moister than their original cinnamon or nut varieties.  The regular packaging is awful for the super moist fruit-based cakes.  They arrive all smooched into several soggy crumbs, or at least 50%  crumbled into a mess. QVC has had to replace the cake for me numerous times, on just two separate orders, until I just gave up.  They need a much more contained/secure package for distribution.

I read reviews for those flavor varieties, and saw complaint after complaint regarding the same issue I had.  I also saw similar complaints on FB.

I wrote to the QVC Social Team, as well as My Grandma's own site (and I guess now, I'm wrote it here as well).

@Caaareful Shopper   I think your post just explained to me why the gourmet market near me carries only the cinnamonn or walnut varieties of the Grandma's cakes.

Those are the ones I would mostly likely want anyway; I don't have enough freezer space for more than one at a time, so I buy locally but I have often wondered why they don't stock a wider variety.

@northiie57

This comment is just about the most passive complaint I've ever seen here!  Which vendor?  Which item?  What happened?  What, specifically, are you talking about?

If you order some food item and it's damaged or otherwise unacceptable, you need to contact QVC CS and get it straightened out,  or get a refund, or whatever makes it right.

As for any vendor reading complaints ... that's still a LONG way from them authorizing changing packaging and processing of orders.     IMO, In addition to contacting QVC, you should take the time to contact the company.

As my grandmother used to say .... the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Re: Do the vendors see their food reviews?

Most food orders are shipped directly from a vendor plant, bakery, facility.

So, in fact, they are very much in control of the packaging and shipping process and procedures.

Re: Do the vendors see their food reviews?

I would suggest you order directly from them so you can give instructions as to how you want it packed.

Also, every credit the Q gives you is a direct hit on the check they receive, the cost of the refund is subtracted off the final bill.  Please note the Q is the "order taker" and nothing more, the food is shipped directly from the supplier to you.

Re: Do the vendors see their food reviews?

@northiie57  I'm not certain if the Vendors see them or not. I can say, I wanted to read reviews on a Philosophy Body Wash Assortment. Meaning, what the scents were like? Did they last? How strong they were? Nothing of the kind. Instead, all of the reviews were about their brand not being "clean" and testing on animals. I'm not saying it's unimportant, but it has nothing to do with the Product Review itself.
