Don't worry about it. There have been a flurry of freaked out, offended and otherwise hysterical and histrionic posters with very few posts posting all over the forums in the last few hours as a follow-up to the same on the weekend. Interesting timing. It's a mini-blitz.

Re: Difference between QVC and QVC PLUS?

A long while ago I had heard QVC Plus would be all fashion. That never came to fruition. They do have just a few independent shows on the Plus, but most everything is repeats. I always check to see if there is something of interest to me I missed. I watch very little of it....

@febe1,  I've gotten the impression that the extra channel was started with one thing in mind...  but then the direction kept changing...  and changing...   and no one really knows what the goal is.    I've only watched it a few times, and I didn't see anything that was more interesting than the "regular" QVC, which has become a long infomercial about the same few vendors/products.

I agree, @dooBdoo. It seemed there was a lot of possibilities, but it all fell apart. It must be costly with very little financial returns.

QVC-Plus is for larger ladies! 😀

That is uncalled for and just plain rude!!!!!!!!!!

Oh goodness!  The comment was NOT rude.  There is nothing wrong with being a plus size lady. There is nothing negative about the comment, or by being plus size.

Re: Difference between QVC and QVC PLUS?

[ Edited ]

When it first started they used it as a way to experiment with pre-recorded shows....(i.e. Your Home With Jill was recorded instead of her having a live show) ...Jill said a recorded show allows more time with products and made it easier with set productions etc....

Here's another press release when it first started...

http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/qvc-launches-second-broadcast-channel-qvc-plus-220680261.htm...

To me now It's just a hodgepodge of bits and pieces of different shows strung together.....Sometimes yes they also offer a few live shows or continuation of a show on their regular channel -- they ended the St. Patricks Irish day on Plus....and I just saw a promo for QF's girlfriends party which will be aired on Q Plus.....To me it's just a waste of money, ....And I'm sure this impacts their expenses (with expense of paying cable companies for an extra channel and cable companies get share of profits sold) so it adds to prices of QVC's products.......
