Re: Despite QVC's Bankruptcy.....

[ Edited ]

Tik Tok Shop and other social media platforms,  along with its streaming programs, are the future of new, reinvented QVC.

"New this year, QVC is expanding its offering on Tik Tok Shop as one of the first major retailers to bring a curated selection of premium frozen foods. Celebrating 40 years as a trusted retail expert, QVC's growth on the platform widens TikTok Shop's current selection of culinary offerings, making it easier than ever for food lovers to discover chef-inspired flavors and experience gourmet convenience delivered right to their door. The initial rollout will feature vendors Rastelli's, Egg Harbor and Brooklyn Dumplings, bringing customer favorites to the platform in a new, convenient way."

This is today, this is the future, and traditional cable/television broadcasting will disappear or be dramatically reduced soon (in my assessment.)

The commercial banks, mutual funds and hedge funds that will own and control QVC Group have absolutely no interest in, ties to or nostalgia for the QVC of 40+ years ago.

Re: Despite QVC's Bankruptcy.....

Your absolutely correct! This was a long time coming for QVC. Social media platforms and online shopping have become the norm now. I buy almost all of my items and goods this way. Tik Tok does offer better pricing on some items especially when they offer discount coupons and free shipping.

Sometimes the dark clouds that QVC is experiencing right now come with silver linings. Some things, and people never change unless confronted with the inevitable. I loved the QVC of the 80's, and 90's!  Omg, I was dependent to them for all my shopping needs...had they sold groceries....lol. But for me things changed early 2000's.  Things were getting old, selling techniques were different, clothing was getting stale, the made in USA clothes and items left, and I changed as well. The advent of the internet changed everything. When we all got computers, and left dial up, the game was on. I think, although I don't use social media like Facebook, X, Tik Tok. Most others do. Wave of the future. I hope it works. And then this will make shopping on TV a better experience for those who want to shop this way.

I would like to try TikTok eventually. Is it as user friendly as the QVC website?

Re: Despite QVC's Bankruptcy.....

I have purchased a few things on tik tok, not the QVC site but it is easy and I had no issue.

Re: Despite QVC's Bankruptcy.....

my adult grandkids order from TikTok often. I was a little surprised.  They get social deals or unique items they say.  I think it is wave of future...until next thing comes along. Me?  I use tried and true online sources I have always used. I don't use Tik Tok, I'm happy with what I have available.

Re: Despite QVC's Bankruptcy.....

@shoekitty   TicTok was almost a nonexistent site awhile back . Trying to find a new buyer, I believe ?There were some scandalous associations that wasn't  all that secure or trustworthy.

Bizarre claims by some influencers so junk  is posted. My SD posted her kids singing on it! The younger people love it. Hopefully a more secure option? I am happy on line shopping and Q on line.

Yes there are price differences using TikTok vs. QVC

The MacKenzie Child’s TSV with their #1 selling tea kettle with 2 mugs was $20 less if you bought it off of TikTok.

$169 vs. $149 both had free shipping too.

Give it time… remember they haven’t been selling on TikTok as long as some others.
