I agree , it seems like negative people want them to fail ., major companies have went thru bankrupcy and came back from it. Even Target is struggling at this time.
Target is struggling because it ended their DEI hiring policy and ended LGBTQ shopping items. The Black community, a huge part of their customer base has stopped shopping there by thevthousands .
I disagree. In my area, Target is doing well and has many, many minority customers.

After Target dropped DEI, they had a 24-33% stock price drop, the CEO lost his job, and investors lost $12Billion. The boycotts started at the time continue for the majority. Their financial reports have not been as high as before dropping DEI.

I believe Tiktok is a joint ownership company between the US and China. That happened early this year.

I believe Tiktok is a joint ownership company between the US and China. That happened early this year.

@SilleeMee I answered my own question by looking it up. lol. Tiktok is owned by the Chinese co, ByteDance. The app has faced scrutiny re data privacy, leading to potential bans in the US.

This new entity, which holds a majority stake in the U.S. business to comply with federal law, was created to separate TikTok from its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, which now holds a minority stake of 19.9%.

Key details of the ownership structure, as reported by CNBC and The New York Times, include:

Oracle's Role: Beyond a 15% stake, Oracle serves as the security provider, responsible for storing U.S. user data and monitoring the platform's algorithms.
The Joint Venture: The new U.S. entity includes other investors such as Silver Lake (15%), MGX Fund Management Limited (15%), and other US investors, totaling over 80% non-Chinese ownership.
ByteDance: The Chinese parent company retained 19.9% of the USDS Joint Venture.

I sense from some of the feed-back here, that some are really vested in this because it is a daily thing for them @CalminHeart . They watch the programming and have for years. Almost like losing an old friend. Otherwise, it may be nostalgia for a venue that has outlived its time and never coming back as it once was....
