I've said it before and i'll say it again.  qvc's downfall is a majority of their own doing.  TPTB do not listen to their viewers or customers.  They think they know better...Look where that thinking got them.  From poor quality goods at high prices. Stale, boring , everything looks the same clothing lines. The annoying "Entertainment"  style of selling.  Crass and Crude hosts-Shawn and Mally come to mind. Poor return polices, refunds that take weeks.  The list goes on.  TPTB did nothing to fix them.  It isn't the economy, it isn't Covid it is the management at QVC itself.  I also think qvc is going to go under.  The amount of debt they have due next year is astronomical for a company.  I also don't think they will do well as a streaming only company.  That debt is going to follow them and if they keep the same management they will screw up streaming also.

@Catch71   I think the models are paid through the agency.  I don't believe Q pays the models.

@Teddixat  QVC pays the agency, and agency PAYS models I am sure. I do remember back in beginning they had women who worked at the q ,and were willing to put on clothing and come out, lol.  The hosts modeled clothing, always. But that was back late 1980's, early 1990's.  I remember when Kathy Levine was Host , she joked she refused to wear certain clothing, so so and so was going to show us. lol and out would come an employee.  It was nice. iDK when they started getting regular models.

@Rockycoast   hands down the major reason is the worst CEO in the United States is sailing  the ship right into the iceberg. He is the most horrible excuse of a businessman to ever exist and he has ruined what was already a sinking ship, but he just expedited their fate. I can't tell you how many suggestions my friends and I have sent them. My husband has even DM'd David via LinkedIn as they are connected. It all falls on deaf ears.

We complained directlly when their youtube stopped recording majority of presentations, so when you go to youtube QVCTV ch you will see they only record about a hlf doz presentations daily. They use record over 100 per day. Its good to watch via youtube when one's DVR is already filled up. Many can't watch daily, but could see what they missed via youtube, but NOT anymore. FIRE this CEO before they are completely cooked WELL DONE. They have a small miracle chance to turn this around, but must FIRE this CEO, A S A P!!!

No it's none the above. QVC is old news, better and tons of competition. Q audience are older and have shopped for years. They aren't attracting new viewers. Honestly, who can watch making bubbles w Philosophy anymore or David reciting colors available and

his happy dance??? Baked and done.

I also have emailed qvc with my concerns.  Got the "Thank you for contacting qvc" BS.   Deaf ears is correct. But it has been going on for years and years. I honestly believe that management does not care about live presentations. They want to go streaming only.  But as I stated before, if they take this same CEO/management team with them I doubt it will prosper. they will screw that up also.

@Rockycoast  I agree that management no longer cares  about live broadcasting.  It remains to be seen if they can exist as an online only retailer.

While I would miss QVC--I used to only subscribe to a cable provider if they carried QVC!!--I've gotten use to not having Lord & Taylor, Sears, etc. and more recently Blair.  There are plenty of other places to shop that were not around when HSN/QVC started 40+ years ago.

Only a matter of time.

True it is only a matter of time.  Sooner than I thought.  Will have to wait to see how next year's payment due is handled.  I'm one that won't miss qvc. I very seldom purchase anything from the Q.  There are many alternatives to shopping here.

Re: Decline in sales

Here's a little detail about how it could be sooner than the October 2026 due date of the $2.9 billion:

One of the bank covenants is that QVC Group’s leverage ratio not exceed 4.5X or a default occurs.   While there's a very specific formula,  it's basically a measure of debt to earnings.

The Company reports that the ratio was 4.2X as of September 30.

If earnings, as calculated, fall the next quarter or the quarter after that, the 4.5X threshold could be reached and exceeded.

Then, the banks could declare the $2.9 billion immediately due and payable.   Of course, they could grant some relief and/or renegotiate terms and forbearance and give the Company some time;  or alternatively exercise their remedies.

Banks running QVC Group.  Interesting.

I hope that all employees are aware and are keeping their savings at least a six month living amount.

Nobody should be hit with surprise.

I would be even looking around at all opportunities.

Nobody wants to be hit with nothing, like Antonella.
