does anyone know why it is now in the kitchen with Julia and not David. Sorry if it is an old question but I have not been on the computer for a while. Thank you for the answer if you have one.

What annoys me is Mary and Julia are constantly playing with their hair and looking at the camera. Heaven forbid a hair is out of place.

@nono4 both shows still exist. Julia has an In the Kitchen with Julia show and David has an In the Kitchen with David show. They are not the same.

Exactly.

Julia's cooking show used to be "In The Kitchen With Mary" airing on Q2, but they moved Mary to QMain for other shows. Mary and David's shows were their own separate entities too.

One of the hosts, I think it was Ali in a brief segment right before her scheduled show with Alberti, showed the viewing audience two monitors close to the floor in her segment. She explained that the one monitor showed the current camera shot. The second monitor showed the next shot.

@KailaS - Awww...and there were all those posters thinking the hosts were just looking at themselves in the monitors! (As if they have nothing better to do while live on air.)

I've never been a believer of the theory that hosts monitor gaze to groom and preen.

Obviously, on TV, one wants to see what the current camera shot is and what is coming up next.

That's live television.
