Not as harsh as the phoney-baloney fake "concern" of the hosts when they have to listen to these sad callers.....especiallly the ones who call late at night after a date with Jack Daniels.....

 

O well. I suppose they HAVE to do it  ( fake the tears, the emotion, the pathos....when all they are thinking is:

 

"Come on come ON!!... hit the "order now" button and feel free to order SIX of them-..... gotta huge boat payment due this month....:"!

I dunno but I kind of enjoy them. It breaks up the usual monotony and it means a lot to the callers.

I can tell it makes their day.

Heck, I'll admit it.  Once a long time ago, I ordered using the automated system and it asked if I'd like to speak on air at the end.  I did and it was fun!😃

It was Suzanne Somers on HSN.

I mute them, because I find myself feeling uncomfortable; I'm embarrassed for the people who gush and gush, or who sit down for a chat and have to be "let go" by the hosts. There have been callers who provide helpful tips about the product, or ask pertinent questions about the item, but I don't hear those as often.
