It sounds like this building in Bethlehem won't be ready for occupancy until sometime next year. There's definitely something going on at the Lancaster facility. Too bad the Q chooses to keep us in the dark and make it a big secret. We will, of course, eventually learn what is going on. In the meantime, they'll jerk us and our orders around.

@Kachina624 Trying to check on my exchange returned on March 15th and no news I e mailed on 29th and got reply saying they were having problems at Lancaster warehouse but my return had been received on 22nd. No one thought to let me know! Ah well, as you say, all will be revealed eventually!

It could be. We can only speculate. Therefore, I’m not sure why the ranting thread that reads something like “close down the Ontario, CA warehouse” hasn’t been deleted
From my experience, the Ontario warehouse is doing a great job. UPS in that area is another story. They seem to be stocking the TSVs at Ontario so maybe I'll get my Laurie Felt jeans sometime this centuary

I read the article and looked at the photo. It looks like the warehouse is in the middle of nowhere. They must not be planning to have very many employees because unless there is a good transit system there, it doesn't look like there's very much employee parking. The article that is embedded in the article link in the original post

said that the warehouse would provide about 350 jobs which is about what the photo shows would be the parking spaces surrounding the warehouse.
I wonder if this warehouse will mostly use robotic technology to pick and pack and ship the inventory?
Also if QVC only just signed a lease late last fall on this warehouse built on spec and it won't be ready to use until this fall, maybe the logistics of getting this off the ground is taking up way more time and money then originally planned. Hmmm.

@TY. The article says it will employ 1200 to 1500 people when fully operational in 2020.

Yup, but how are all those people going to get to that warehouse? There doesn't look like there's enough parking for that many employees. QVC must have to put more parking into place or there must be some kind of transit to get there.

@TY That's an architectural drawing and doesnt include all of the adjacent features. The parking woes of Q employees are the least of my worries. We'll let the site manager worry about it. They'll also have to have room for dozens of semi trailers to move, turn around and park.

Interesting and informative article.
This warehouse is definitely not "in the middle of nowhere. On the contrary. It's near me and in an area that was big into steel production a century ago and is now renewed and revitalized.
The article also explains the mega warehouse that will be built on spec even closer to my home. Build it and they will come seems to be the thinking here.
Hoping this means I will be getting all my orders from QVC, HSN, zulily and Ballard more quickly in the coming years.
Now I just need qurate outlet stores in Bethlehem...
