Why can we no longer see the cost of the item we purchased on the packing slip? Well, I know why.
If we saw what we payed on that binge item, on the emotional shopping spree, when we felt the intended pressure that our size was about to 'run out' that we might be more prone to return.
Also, let's not forget the price match. If the price you payed has gone down within 30 days of purchase, they will credit you the difference.
Having to 'look up' the price of the item online, will deter you from the above.
Also, while I'm on the subject, I'm going to tack on my post regarding the shipping charges here!
"Look at shipping rates in the marketplace... the trend is free shipping!? Some of these retailers have free shipping both ways. Target, Wayfair, Zappos, Nordstrom, Crate & Barrel, LL Bean, MAC, Rayban, Skymall, BaubalBar to name a few.
QVC knows that free shipping increases sales, why not do it? My opinion is they are counting on us and our 'loyalty' to continue to pay '$5.95 or $7.95 or whatever they want from us because we 'like' them. We like the hosts, we like seeing what's new, we are in a habit of following them one way or another.
Considering that consumers, in the general marketplace, are spending more money online than ever before in history... and that QVC stockholders (symbol QVCA) and their revenue is at an ALLTIME high, they are plundering us, their beloved, loyal customers (ha)!
We know they would never give up such a big piece of their revenue...
so what to do about these ridiculas shipping charges.... I think we should really express our displeasure with our wallets.
Short of that, there is a lot they can do even if they're not going to join the 'ships for free' bandwagon. What about free shipping with orders $49 and over? What about $1.95 flat shipping fee for all items (exception furniture, etc.) What about offering free shipping in exchange for agreeing to extended delivery. There are a lot of creative, marketing folks out there...
... but QVC is raking in the revenue. Why should they change? We're not changing our shopping habits. What incentive do they have to cut their own revenue? They keep these forums private (for our protection), while they could give us an option of contacting one another if we wished. That would open them up to liabilty I suppose. But if we *could* work together as a group, we could pick one day to protest their unacceptable shipping charges by not shopping at all that day. Perhaps we could make an impact via Twitter (trend #QVCShippingRates) or a Closed Facebook Group.
If NOTHING else - what if each of us wrote to them and called them?
I'll be curious to see if they even allow this post to go through to the group.... "

Do you feel better now?

I'm looking at a Q packing slip now and it has a price. Perhaps if it ships from a vendor, it doesn't. There are many other retailers that don't have price's on packing slips. Amazon doesn't even give the packing slip!

@Gypsydog. Please feel free to take your business elsewhere. I wouldn't think of shopping at a place I considered to be so horrible.

Wow. I've never been forced to shop somewhere I didn't want to. Must be miserable.

QVC will not do free shipping the way you suggested @Gypsydog
They are losing alot of money when customers return food items for refund and such
and they are making alot of profit from shipping and return shipping fees to cover lost.

My packing slips show the price and the shipping cost. (and tax) I wonder how much QVC has to refund on food items. I'm sure that is why most of the food items are so costly.

No wonder their shipping prices aren't competitive - none of the consumers seem to care they're being taken!
