The other day a kitchen item was referred to as ""sexy.""

Adorable, shouldn't be used to describe anything other than something for a child. Everything from t-shirts to handbags are described as "adorable". I am a grown woman and do not want to look "adorable". Pretty is just fine!

What difference does it really make?
None.

I believe it would be extremely valuable for QVC( and other shows that sell via air) to have specialists in vocabulary/synonyms/sentence structure and just proper use of words and phrases in general come and teach a weekly or monthly class to all hosts just to keep them polished to enhance sales and keep them valuable and viewable. Good reps really can make or break a company, and I think the cost effectiveness of this would pay off in a huge way for all.

I don't think this is incorrect English. That would be some one saying ""me and Bill seen a deer"". What you are referring to is poor word choice.

This cute little top, this darling little blazer, just throw a little jacket on to complete the outfit -- enough! I know the clothes I wear are certainly not little. Unless you are an xs or small, I think little should be dropped as a descriptive adjective. Give this poor overused word a rest!
LOL ...... I always wonder why they call it a little pair of flats, or a little sweater ..... I just wish I knew what they were REALLY trying to say!

Words mean things when you express your love for your spouse, kids, grands, etc.
Words mean something when you use them to discriminate and hate.
Words mean something when politicians lie and lie and lie.
Words mean something when you apologize to someone.
Words don't mean anything when it comes to supposed correctness on a shopping channel. There are a lot of regional differences in the spoken word. No big deal.
