Hmmm.... I've never associated the word "cool" with valley girls.   "Cool" has been around since long before those valley girls were born.

I associate the word cool with the fifties era. James Dean or beatniks.

Cool = valley girls???

 

I'm 59 and still say cool.  I grew up in NYC and live near DC now.  I hear it; it doesn't even register as something out of place.  Thank goodness.

BUT   Here is the thing, it makes you sound young to say cool, and easy breezy, and like you know like saying dig it????   Dig what?? I didn't know we were digging anything.  Do you see anyone with a shovel???  Inquiring minds want to know.
