Someone might mention to hosts that snide remarks about other products while selling something on QVC are really rather tacky.

I agree.  I would prefer you give me the positive parts of what you are selling and leave other companies or that store with the blue box out of it.  There really is no comparison so I would appreciate just giving me the facts.

I rarely watch anymore and one of the main reasons is the host's unprofessional behavior.  From what I read here and from the little I've seen on air, several would have been fired immediately.

The tactic is ridiculous. The blue box, or this out in retail would have a 3 in front of it.

Yes, it would if it was a luxury item. Not the one you are selling.

tell us the positive stuff, the successes, the likes, the benefits

leave the negative home, don't care what others you don't like or what others don't do, etc

much more motivated to believe the spiel if the negative is left out

There is NO hot dog on earth that is worth $100. for two dozen!!!!

There are no "special cows" or "Magical cucumbers"....!!!

Don't care if they come in a blue shipping box (like that famous store)!!!

Not really the same thing, but the other night after being complimented on her glasses by the vendor, Shawn proceeded to tell her to go to Amazon and explained what exactly to type in to find them!
