@Venezia I remember those days. Fun , they brought unusual, interesting items. I think since Covid, they got into more debt. Then, I think when you are in pre chapter 11,,or bankruptcy vendors pull out. They don't get paid on time. Checks are late. Returns are higher... I think many vendors pulled out, and new ones are skiddish after bankruptcy reports. Many unique vendors just can't afford to wait for pay, they have employees and such. That's why Q is selling min,y big vendors with established companies.

I've mentioned in earlier threads that many companies successfully emerge from a Chapter 11 restructuring.
For example, all of the major airlines have filed, kept flying throughout and exist in some form today.
Of course, retailing is different and much more challenging, but I wish QVC Group well.

This was the path of SHOPHQ :
" ShopHQ (formerly ShopNBC, Evine) underwent a tumultuous financial decline, culminating in its parent company, iMedia Brands Inc., filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June 2023 with over $350 million in debt. The company, which had struggled with declining cable viewership, high inflation, and lower consumer discretionary spending, was sold to IV Media, a subsidiary of Innovation Ventures LLC (makers of 5-Hour Energy), shortly after the filing "

Something unsettling is happening to all retail.
I'm getting (as are all of you) unexpected sales, deals, coupons from companies that don't normally offer any specials.
We've come to expect Talbots and Macys business model of there is always a deal going on. But I'm getting special offers from the likes of Nic+Zoe, EF, Bloomingdales, Athleta, Johnny Was
Even local restaurants are sending out $25 off come see us.
It seems there is some cash raising going on. Humm

I don't see a think changing or the downhill slide stopping unless their is a housecleaning of management. I don't see that happening either.
If they were going to right the ship, it would be showing by now. Isn't this the anniversary time of the Titanic?

I think that the prices have to come down. They are ridiculously high. And people cannot afford to pay $30, $40 or more a month since items are only on 2 to 3 EZ pays. Customers hesitate to shell the much money out when it could cut into their other expenses such as food, gas, mortgage, rent, utilities, etc. The Q needs an excellent financial advisor.
