@Caaareful Shopper - Carolyn actually only visits QVC to present her line in person once or twice per year now; Carolann Wileczek has taken over the regular presenting duties to allow Carolyn to more fully enjoy her retirement.

FWIW, sometime during the past couple of years when Carolyn had either the TSV or a Big Deal with multiple on-air presentations, she also struggled a bit in an earlier presentation and was not part of the next show. In that case, QVC basically treated it as they have today, with a host simply saying she wasn't well. On her Facebook page the next day, it was mentioned that she had exhausted herself with too much travel and work, so she needed to take a break.

I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens with tonight's scheduled show...

This happened several years ago, I thought she was drunk. Maybe this is why she retired. It looks like someone having a stroke, maybe it's a health issue

Last year, Carolyn canceled an appearance on her final show of the day because she wasn't well. IIRC, Carolann started working for her and making on-air appearances thereafter. Carolyn just resumed in-studio appearances, I believe. She does appear to tremble and have some difficulty with expressing herself, but I think it may depend on how many shows she does per visit.

I just turned tonight's show on. Rosina is hosting by herself, and I think doing a good job. She doesn't seem to have the enthusiasm for AW some of the other hosts do, and I miss Carolyn.

Suzanne is modeling. I'm by myself right now. All is right with my world!  Smiley Happy

I just watched Carolyn present the Special value. She seemed to be having difficulty with words. I sure hope she is ok. Of course, it could be that she has been up since midnight. Love her jewelry. I have many pieces and always get compliments.

@Tatanoo46   I only saw a small portion at midnight because of JT being the Host.  I thought she was shakey and something was wrong. I hope she is ok as well.

Rosina just said Carolyn is watching from her hotel room. She said Carolyn wasn't feeling well so she went home earlier today.

I hope she feels better.

I'm not a huge Rick fan, but I thought he did a great show today.  He actually sounded knowledgeable.  He's so much better when he has to sit in one place.

Carolyn has seemed somehow impaired before while on air, though none of us knows why. Her line is not featured nearly like it once was. I also recall a prominent handbag vendor appeared significantly impaired once on air. Whatever the reasons, it happens.

I watched her as well and noted the speech difficulty right away. I am a recently retired Home Health RN. Her voice was shaky along with the words. But I also noted the slight shaking in her hands and difficulty with speaking. Right away I thought she may have what is known as "essential tremors" . I have that as well, now very slight, in my right hand primarily, but will continue to worsen as we age. Just my "professional" thoughts and certainly not a diagnosis. It could also be due to low blood sugar or numerous other neurological affliction. I would see a large number of elderly in nursing homes, board and care facilities or assisted living facilities that have essential tremors. Her facial features also looked a lot different to me from how I remember her in he past, but like her, we all age, and things do change in relation to loss of tone and muscle structure and strength. However, her beauty still shines through and love her , not to mention the beautiful jewelry she represents!! MJ,RN
