So, my 5 and 8 year old grandsons were over yesterday. Of course, I had QVC on in the background and it was during the Gourmet Food shows.

My 8 year old GS was watching and said, "Nana, they're bragging and you aren't suppose to brag". Haha, my daughter has been working with them on their vocabulary and explaining you don't brag. I tried my hardest to explain that, yes, they were bragging because they believed their item was so good. He said, well, that is still bragging. I then tried to explain when you are selling something you believe is extra special it's okay because you are selling it and don't want to say it is bad. Nope, he said, "but Nana, it's still bragging and you aren't suppose to do that". I left it at that.

Also at one point, my 5 year old saw the bagels shown. He said, "Nana, I want one of those Everything bagels for snack today". I had to explain shipping just isn't that quick. Woman Very Happy But, I would buy him one for when he came over next time.

Young kids are so cute since they take everything literally! Smiley Happy

My grandson is only 18 mo old and says a few basic things.  DD was showing him a picture book on transportation and one of the images was of a man riding a motorcycle.

The illustration was of a man with a gray beard,  sunglasses but stooped over the handlebars like an old man....or an aging hipster.  My grandson pointed and said, "Pop pop" meaning DH.

My husband has a short gray beard and since he's had a lot of health issues his posture has gone downhill. It was funny that to think that's what GS saw.

Have so much fun!

Since I moved to Pittsburgh...same city as DDs fam...she has been relying on me more and more to stay with the KIDZ...

AND I LOVE IT!

Will be over at their house from 4-9 and cannot wait!

@cjm61    Yes grandkids are observant and can say some funny things.  I still laugh when I think of my 5 yr old granddaughter when she heard one of the hosts talking about all the places we could wear an outfit...to a family gathering, to a picnic, to church, to a reunion...etc...etc...She shouted at the tv..."How about the recycling center"

It just struck me as funny.  😄

@cjm61   Adorable.  Couple of years ago when I was sick, my grandson made a Get Well Card.  On the inside, he put a little TV and wrote QVC on it.  I would day he's got my numbet.  HaHa

That is funny!  I thought you were going to say she added The Pumpkin Patch, Apple Picking or Hay Rides.  Lol
