A day of mostly suds making and silly hair fluffing.  Hardly riveting or the kind of programming that would cause people to eagerly sit by their TVs.  Why can't they just have one of these products interspersed with some fashion or jewelry?

Total snore.

I quit watching Q years ago.  Sometimes if I do want to order something like philosphy I just go on line.  I do enjoy watching HSN.  Mostly I am watching TCM or Tvland lol.  Have a nice day everyone.Smiley Happy

@Kachina624

For many years, I haven't watched more than a few seconds of QVC for a variety of reasons.  Not the least of which the ones you mention.

However, today I was having a late breakfast and tuned in.  Three people on the set presenting purses, talking all at once, running around like crazy people and none of it helping me to see the purse they were selling.

Every now and then I need a reminder of why I stopped watching.

HSN's Christmas is only this weekend.  I think it ends tonight.

LOL.  Something about Q seems chaotic even when I am just looking for something to watch I stop on Q and it's crazy plus pricing is high so I keep looking for something to watch lol.  HSN is much calmer for me anyway.  Three people presenting any item is a bit much.  For a lot of people this format works.  For me less chaos is the format I enjoy.

🤔  Do you think they just might have fired QFave Dan Hughes because he preferred not to participate in programming featuring fashion, hair, and, and cosmetic products.

🙄 Coffee & donuts on Sunday mornings just aren't the same without Pat & Dan.

@ManyMeows  I may be mistaken but I don't believe I have ever seen David V. participate with fashion, hair or cosmetics. So I would say no to your question.

For me, the new QVC format has very little to offer. The programming is very repetitive, and the product lines have little to offer. Clothes, hair, makeup, shoes, and everything else is outrageously high in price. Its as though QVC has morphed into a beauty and fashion channel. And how many gourmet food shows do we need? I myself would not pay the asking prices for the food products. I'm not really interested in what QVC has to offer these days, nor am I willing to donate the majority of my paycheck to QVC. Too many people shop beyond their means, taken in by the concept of easy pay, and can't even tell you what their card balance is or how much interest they pay. I'm a firm believer in "Shop Your Closest" or "Shop Your Attic" when you just feel like buying something new that you don't really need. You will discover things you don't even remember you bought or still have.

I'm not saying that you'll never find a real bargain, but I go back to the days when QVC was a really fun and entertaining place to shop.

I thought I was the only person who feels this way - I never watched QVC in the past so have nothing to compare it to, and only caught Lori Goldstein showing her designs one day and started purchasing her line. I then happened on Laurie Felt, and am very sorry she is leaving, because her designs are both stunning and some are well-fitting, at least on my frame.

But if I find something I really like which will look attractive on me, I wait for sales or clearance prices or 'As Is', because the pricing is simply out of reach - $60 or $70 for a simple short sleeve t shirt is just too much.

How many clothes do we possibly need or wear?

We are currently in the moving process, and I am busy donating quite a few things which I thought were so necessary at the time, and which I never wore! LOL

QVC does have some excellent salespeople!

And I never use 'easy pay', that is just a hook to draw us in to purchase more.

😂 😂 😂  Of  course Dan Hughes was "Laid Off."

Why on earth would an uber prestigious organization such as QVC, who just coincidentally happened to be hemmoraging money left, right, and sideways, fire a popular and beloved employee who gave thirty three dedicated years to this Company? Certainly not to save a few bucks?

"Laid" isn't the correct word. I believe the word is "screwed."

Back when I watched Qvc I found Dan to be very boring, so I rarely saw him.

QVC is now so boring I haven't watched a full hour except for a very few programs - CCB, NYDJ jeans and shoes and V Camuto.
