Memorial Day Sale, Labor Day Sale, Inventory Sale, Liquidation Sale,  Anniversary Sale,  Mothers' Day, Tax Day... and on and on and ON.

that's been a theme for the last few years, I think---just more hype--black Friday has never been a thing for me, ever----never go out on the original one ---and really the sales aren't very good , on those faux BF-- IMO---

@Group 5 minus 1 I actually shopped QVC's Black Friday sales this AM and found some really good prices, better than Amazon and other sites. Now, not everything was cheaper, and a couple by only a penny, but I purchased a few Christmas gifts with Free Shipping. I'm very excited.

@meallen616 I don't think Black Friday refers to the day after Thanksgiving any longer. Retailers try to get your money before another retailer does so many businesses now offer great Black Friday deals long before the real black Friday.

@cjm61,

Thanks for the update, I guess I considered all of them mentioned just sales and Black Friday the day after Thanksgiving as the big one with all the insanity!

I bought myself a Christmas present the other day.

Went to Lazy Boy and bought a new chair with a lot of bells and whistles. Furniture, like everything else has sure went up.

Didn't want leather just gave away my 2 yr old couch

killed my back. High backed and stitching didn't help my osteoporosis back any. New one is faux leather has a phone charger circle built into one of the arms, glass holder in the right arm, lumbar support, remote control controls everything, Big storage pouches on both sides for mags, books, papers, etc.

Best of all U can special order a swivel tray that fits on the right side for your plate or whatever. 120 extra. Just

stick it down on the attachment and lift off if you don't want it.

Built for a smaller person those big ol' high backed things are for a basketball player.

get it Monday (7th)  can't wait. Thanks Santa LOL

@SharkE

Enjoy your new Lazy Boy recliner.

I was just looking at them last month online.

I need to go downtown to order one. I need one with lumbar support. As far as I know Lazy Boy is the only one that makes a recliner with it? I know mine doesn't have it.

My dad always bought Lazy Boy Recliners. He had a rocking recliner because he liked to rocked. He also had one that didn't rock.

I need one that I can push a button to  come back down. With my knee issue trying to kick the one down I have now is a pain?

I would also like to be able to put my feet on the ground if I'm not reclined back. I want fabric. We already have leather furniture.

When I sit in DH's rocking recliner my feet are dangling.
