Bless the hearts of the hosts who have to present and wear the bathing suits. You couldn't pay me enough to wear a bathing suit on national TV.

Re: Bathing Suit Presentations

I live in a swimsuit most of the summer.  We go boating.  Compared to others I see out there, I don't look too bad...let's just say I am not the worse looking one.

I see women in string bikinis that are contributing to visual pollution.  I would never wear a suit like that, but I wear tankinis, swim dresses, swim shorts with rash guard shirts, and even two piece suits with bottoms that cover my whole tummy and butt cheeks with a bra top.

I have seen a swimsuit vendor on QVC modeling a swimsuit who is a plus size...good for her.

Women should be able to enjoy life no matter what their body type is and not feel ashamed of their body.

You could pay me $$$ to model on TV.  I don't come cheap though.

Re: Bathing Suit Presentations

I am glade that they do model the suits . When the plus size models wear the suits you can really tell if the vendor is telling the truth abt how much bottom coverage there is or isn't . I was surprised that the suits Belle suits by Kim Gravel  did not have moore backside coverage  . The plus models could have had a little more coverage and the  swim dresses were a bit short . It hleps to see the clothes on  models other than the QVC Hosts that are a size 00

I agree about not feeling ashamed.  That's not me.  I am just very modest.  Always have been.  When I was a much younger woman and was considered very attractive, I didn't like the gawking gaze from other men.  Made me very uncomfortable.  So out of respect for myself, I dressed more modest....even at the beach!

Re: Bathing Suit Presentations

I would be interested in some of the suits, but if they don’t turn it inside out and show me the front and the back inside out, I won’t consider it. I want and need elastic under the bust that goes all the way around, not just in the front.

Re: Bathing Suit Presentations

@Coastalcarolina   I am very modest too.  I was grabbed and touched by men most of my young life.  I recounted what happened here years ago, but the mods deleted it as inapproperiate.

I have always had an hour glass figure...busty with a bubble booty.  I try to keep those areas covered, but at my age, no one bothers me anymore and younger men with raging hormones aren't into old ladies.

I wear a long sleeve cover up over my swimwear unless I am in the water.  I am fair and I burn.

I do like to swim and I will continue to do so as long as I can.

@jackthebear Even though I lost weight last year and I'm probably thinner than many women that you see at the beach, I'm still not comfortable wearng a bathing suit.

So what I wear is either a light gauze t-shirt or a Fresh Produce tee with a pair of board shorts that I purchased from Amazon last year.

If  plan on swimming I also purchased a short sleeve rash guard top & bathing suit bra that gives you real support.
