Re: Bathing Suit Presentations

The hosts are in very attractive modest swimwear & cover ups & look great. The ones I feel sorry for are models who have to model underpants & bras. They look uncomfortable.

The only host I have ever seen model a bikini was Kerstin who jumped at the chance to change into it & she looked fine, but I don't think any others would want to.

The way I feel about going to the beach is to enjoy it & wear what you are comfortable with. To heck with folks who go to critique how others look. I must admit the thong bikini assaults my eyes. To me it is the worst apparel ever & flatters no one. I hope the young ladies I saw on TV cavorting on the beach during Spring break the other night aren't ashamed of how they looked one day - probably not.

No one is forcing models to model under wear. I've never seen any model appear " uncomfortable. " They are paid - its their job.

Bless the hearts of the hosts who have to present and wear the bathing suits. You couldn't pay me enough to wear a bathing suit on national TV.

I am not even wearing one to the beach this summer

rash guard and shorts

@jackthebear Even though I lost weight last year and I'm probably thinner than many women that you see at the beach, I'm still not comfortable wearng a bathing suit.

So what I wear is either a light gauze t-shirt or a Fresh Produce tee with a pair of board shorts that I purchased from Amazon last year.

If  plan on swimming I also purchased a short sleeve rash guard top & bathing suit bra that gives you real support.

sun protection is my reason, hat long sleeves etc

Re: Bathing Suit Presentations

I've never seen any model on QVC look uncomfortable modeling underwear or anything else.  They work for modeling agencies and know exactly what the job is when they accept it.  They seem thrilled to be working and proud to show the items.

I am glade that they do model the suits . When the plus size models wear the suits you can really tell if the vendor is telling the truth abt how much bottom coverage there is or isn't . I was surprised that the suits Belle suits by Kim Gravel  did not have moore backside coverage  . The plus models could have had a little more coverage and the  swim dresses were a bit short . It hleps to see the clothes on  models other than the QVC Hosts that are a size 00

I thought Belle suits would be better and not impressed in how the coverage is on the models.

I live in a swimsuit most of the summer.  We go boating.  Compared to others I see out there, I don't look too bad...let's just say I am not the worse looking one.

I see women in string bikinis that are contributing to visual pollution.  I would never wear a suit like that, but I wear tankinis, swim dresses, swim shorts with rash guard shirts, and even two piece suits with bottoms that cover my whole tummy and butt cheeks with a bra top.

I have seen a swimsuit vendor on QVC modeling a swimsuit who is a plus size...good for her.

Women should be able to enjoy life no matter what their body type is and not feel ashamed of their body.

You could pay me $$$ to model on TV.  I don't come cheap though.

I agree about not feeling ashamed.  That's not me.  I am just very modest.  Always have been.  When I was a much younger woman and was considered very attractive, I didn't like the gawking gaze from other men.  Made me very uncomfortable.  So out of respect for myself, I dressed more modest....even at the beach!

Me too.  I was small and olive toned with big breasts.  Good looking body but hated the attention.  Never was one for exposing myself.

Re: Bathing Suit Presentations

I do have swimsuits and glad I have.  Used last year a lot.  I found some nice fitting ones in Denim and Company.  Last years D & C TSV fit me great.

I do not look bad in a swimsuit and my sister always said there are going to be those who look better and some worse.  So enjoy and have a good time and that is what they are doing.  So I do.  Can't turn back the clock.

Re: Bathing Suit Presentations

I think the models and hosts are asked if they feel comfortable modeling underwear or bathing suits. If they strongly object, I don’t think they’d be forced to do so & a model would just turn down the booking. I don’t think a host would be forced either as there are laws protecting employee’s rights.
