I am wondering how an item "as is" can be on backorder? I ordered the Balinese crest necklace "as is" about two weeks ago, and the status goes between "in process" to "backorder" every couple of days. It's on backorder again today. I thought the "as is" items were in stock to be sold "as is". Go figure. I guess I will make a phone call if it doesn't ship soon. Any thoughts?

I've had that happen a couple times. One time it actually shipped. I cancelled the other orders. I think it happens because the inventory is wrong. That's just my guess though. They put it on backorder in the event another one comes along.
