So sad. This was the day so many of us watched, most 24 hrs of beautiful silver jewelry. Used to take the day off work. Too bad the Q didn't appreciate their customers. Now we get just an ordinary day filled with overpriced fashion, shoes and lots of things we see everyday.

@brcala @ What day was the sad day? What channel are you talking sbout? What is BBSD?

Your post is rather cryptic other than it has to do with silver jewelry and you are unhappy.

I rarely know what someone is speaking of when using letters instead of words but am assuming this is in reference to Big Bonanza Silver Day. Guessing the sales weren't what they needed. I wore some of my Robert Lee Morris rings this past week. They were always so substantial and eye-catching until the very end when I think the price of silver made it necessary to cheapen his designs.

Q's jewelry has tanked in the jewelry market. All they can sell is overpriced silver or silver clad with a few nice pieces thrown in.

@brcalaI too took the day off from work every year on March 1 for the Big Bozana Silver Day.  I bought so many items of silver throughout the day while catching up on my ironing.  It was always such a fun day - beautiful silver - high quality and great prices.

I would take the day off too, and also on Gem Day.  They did have some lovely pieces, and good prices.

Although I am no longer buying jewelry, it would be nice to watch.

I assume that folks are simply not buying as much jewelry as we did  twenty or thirty years ago.

@brcala   I understand that losing what was once important in our lives can be painful, but for me loss of any jewelry show is not on my personal list.
