Anyone pay for extra for UPS shipping options ?

I see it is $19.99 to upgrade , and i am thinking it might be worth it to by pass UPS my choice. Sometimes my packages get stuck at a post office 100 miles away , usually more of a problem with HSN lately. Anyone use this and think it is worth it ?

Never have I been in such a rush that I'd pay $20 for shipping.  Lately a UPS driver who can't read number has been assigned to my neighborhood and has left packages hither and yon.  It has created chaos and not all packages have been given to their owners.

Please UPS just turn them over to the post office.

It is $19.99 per year. I am not in a rush , but my last 2 orders from HSN never arrived and 1 arrived over a month , it was skincare and the hottest month of the year. It isn't HSN or QVC's fault , but i think i might upgrade , i am lucky knock wood , my UPS is very good in my area.

It's been a few years but I used it before I moved (I use a box now vs a street address) and I loved it!  I got all my UPS packages early, a heads up delivery email and no issues. It was a great use of $20 to avoid slower delivery isssues. Highly recommend ⭐️

@MW in Iowa   I think if it was something important that I needed asap maybe I'd think about this xtra charge but in my world there's really nothing that I order that can't take it's time getting to me.

I do know that when I worked I used the mail order pharmacy through Teamsters & sometimes it was a week/10 days to get a refill.  Now I use Fred Meyer pharmacy for my refills as USPS has been interesting to say the least to get some items I need to recieve timely.

Re: Anyone pay for extra for UPS shipping options ?

Oh, YES! Someone on these forums a few years ago mentioned this option with UPS and I went for it. I do get tons of packages from QVC and some other retailers...got two from Macy's today. It is well, WELL worth it to me. When items are shipped UPS Surepost and the package gets passed off to the postal service, it could be several more days to receive the item. I have wonderful service with my UPS drivers, too. I will say that occasionally there will be a package or two that even though they initially shipped with UPS you cannot use this service on the item. So just know that once and awhile that might happen. And, of course, some items from the Q are shipped directly with the postal service to begin with so there's that.

And for those who may be misunderstanding what we're talking about here, it's called UPS My Choice Premium. It's where you pay $19.99 (sometimes it's more if you don't catch it on a special price) and then you can upgrade your UPS Surepost packages to be delivered by UPS and not be passed off by them to the postal service for delivery. It's a one time fee and the service runs for a year.

Bottom line, I started using this UPS upgrade feature a couple years ago and I will continue with it going forward for sure!

I've used it for quite a while and love it.  The post office in my neighborhood messes up deliveries a lot but I have never had a problem with UPS.  Hope I didn't just Jinx myself!  Lol.

Re: Anyone pay for extra for UPS shipping options ?

For all the reasons @pupwhipped mentioned I too have upgraded and actually have it set up to auto renew.  I like getting updates via text from UPS  about all my orders.  I even get notified if my kids send me something.

I hated sure post so the upgrade keeps things away from the post office.  IMO it's a small price to pay.  Great service always from USP.

How does it work?  Is every delivery automatically upgraded?

Re: Anyone pay for extra for UPS shipping options ?

Thanks everyone for the input , i i am going to try it , I am only out $20 if i don't like it and can cancel the next year. I can't see not liking it unless i quit ordering online , i don't see that happening LOL.
