Seriously? There are different degrees and kinds of love.

I understand what you are saying, but we cannot know what relationships those people have beyond work. Most of my closest friends were made through work, which is common, and we said we loved each other often. And meant it. However, to your point, there's something about it being said on the air vs. privately that seems a tad off. The coworkers who became like sisters to me didn't say " I live you" in public meetings.

Nothing the hosts say really bothers me much anymore, you know, since I essentially stopped watching.

He started each convo w/"hey baby girl."
LOL...well, at least he's consistent!

It's pretty sad when a kindness is considered annoying.

I find it grating to constantly hear "I love you" used among hosts, guests, etc. I consider this a very personal and impactful word and hate to see it watered down. Just my opinion.
@twins mom Constantly? Maybe a wee exaggeration? I say this because I don't recall having ever heard a host say it.

It's very common among the millenials. DD says it constantly when talking to her friends, either in person or on her cell phone. At first I thought it was a little strange, but now I think it's great. What a way to brighten someone's day! ![]()

This is a very real and serious problem people. Watered down words. What's the world coming to.

Some good points have been made. I do, however, in my opinion, find it over-used by Shawn K. and perhaps it is a generational thing. When I think about it, this is also a phrase constantly repeated by the Kardashians on their show. As a viewer, however, it tends to "irritate" my senses and I then question the validity of the other things that the individual says. I know they are there to sell, but believability goes a long way with me. If I think I can trust what someone is saying, I stay tuned in and listen to the discussion. If it is "over the top", I tune out.
