Re: Alive with Possibility! New Show

If sales are 'down', then they could be a tax write-off.  (?)

Just 'hit and miss' thinking, and I don't know for sure.

Sounds good, though.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

What is with all the over 50 shows?  Enough Already!

I never watch any of David's shows, just not interested in any of the food shows....  He's somewhat boring to me...

I happened to watch David co-host a food show with one of the newer woman hosts and he was very rude to her, and it was turn off...

Re: Alive with Possibility! New Show

Like others who are disappointed that their favorite shows that used to air between 8-10 PM will now be  incorporated into this new experiment, I'm disappointed too.

For me, it's the cooking shows that I like but now there will only be one dedicated cooking show on the main channel and that's on Sunday, unless they change that too. It's already only about cooking 1/3 of the time anyway.  I'm not going to watch on Wednesday and wait around for a cooking item to show up. My opinion. I just won't watch at all.  :-(

I notice now they are heavily promoting aLIVE on the Q main page this morning. Curious (nosy, really) I clicked on it. What surprise, it linked me me to the Over 50 nonsense. Cringe🙄 So it would appear this alive and most fab promotion will be shoved down our throats not just Friday and Menopause Monday, but all week long. Sigh.

Note to the Q marketing and BD teams, this little experiment is going to cause major burnout to your viewers.  Understand many of your repeat customers are already grumbling and you are purposely alienating men and anyone well beyond 50 and under. What a genius move.🤭

If you want to be inclusive you don't exclude people; at least have the sense to create a new separate page for Alive that does not link back to the "fabulous" Q50.

Amen, I can't wait until this Q50 phase goes away.

I still don't understand why this campaign is so controversial for so many.  I'm over 50 and I don't feel insulted, demeaned or any of the other terms I've seen used lately.  I'm sorry so many of you are bothered by this but it's really not something to take personally.

I don't think people are taking this personally. People just find this way of selling products to only a certain age group is a poor way to attract and keep customers buying. Also, Menopause Monday is insulting  for women over 50. What about ED for men over 50. This is very sexist. Again, this is a shopping channel not a life over 50 channel.

Well said!!  We just want to convenience shop on tv for good quality, good prices and NO shows and entertainment!  I watch less and less now with all the silliness and loudness!

@ajsidney12

Friday nights are not changing, just Mon-Thurs. We still get to listen to Mally scream and screech, hold her phone so she can order whatever is being presented, and pretty much attempt to make herself the center of attention. I don't even watch Friday night anymore. David is still on Sunday afternoon.

I have been watching less and less qvc, so this won't bother me. Just more reason to tune out. Saving some money is always good.

Re: Alive with Possibility! New Show

Not for me.

Generic show titles are just ways to sell the same old, same old products and usually include too much personal talk, childish antics, or some obnoxious guest that takes the show to a new low.
