BirkiLady are you a top notch qualified gem expert?  You go to a jewelry store and have them show you a TINY 1/4 karat diamond.  That gentleman was a VERY QUALIFIED DIAMOND BUYER and knew his business very well. My meager little wedding set has one single 1/4 Karat diamond set up Tiffany setting, and 3 CHIPS down each side of the ring.  They are NOT counted as KARAT weight.
