We need to get past this already - Carolyn & Dan both seem to have moved on, and Carolyn definitely is talking often on her social media about adventures she has coming up.
Having said that, who I really feel sad for are the 400 other employees ..... 😔😔

I am not a fan of initials and hate trying to figure it out. SB I thought, who could that be? Shawn? No, that's not her initials. Sally? No Sally. Susan? No Susan. Maybe that new woman, Stacey; nope not her. Went to the meet the hosts and there it was, Sandra Bennett. Hahaha. She is apparently so boring and non-impressing to me that I forgot her completely.

Following my most recent layoff I received 52 weeks salary paid out over the year, in addition to all benefits at group rates. It was based on tenure and is the maximum under under the company's plan. It was not paid as a lump sum.

Everyone laid off received 2 weeks for every year employed, up to 52 weeks.

It's not unusual at all for large corporations. It works for some, depending upon your age and individual circumstances.

(If you accept other employment, however, this separation benefit ends.)
