Re: ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!

HSN delivery sure is prompt. I don't understand why so many delays at QVC.

UPS where I am has been good until the past month or so.  Food deliveries should take priority, but the last order of Just Bagels I was expecting (2-day shipping) were delayed and then on the day they showed "out for delivery", the driver went right past our house and later updated the tracking at 2:30 p.m. to say they couldn't be delivered due to "Emergency event or severe weather conditions".

I contacted UPS (the depot is only 15 miles away) to say there was no severe weather.  We'd gotten about an inch or two of snow overnight but we'd driven out to have breakfast and by 2:30 the snow had melted it off.  (Where I am, if you can't drive in that much snow, turn in your license.)

I wasn't about to eat bagels that had sat around in warehouses for five days, so I got a refund and tossed them.  (The driver lied again saying he delivered them at 8:30 the next morning.  They weren't delivered until after 4:00 p.m.)

Today I was supposed to get an order of Sweet Sam's.  It was at the local depot by 10 o'clock last night.  Today they've simply put that "delivery will be delayed by one business day".

No reason why; no explanations.  It's a beautiful day here, weather-wise.  They must be having problems with their drivers, is all I can think, but I'm not ordering anymore food online until this stops.  I've already cancelled another shipment I had for this month.

Non-perishable items are one thing; food not so much.

@Venezia

Your absolutely right about UPS....go read their Facebook Page....some of their drivers whine and cry...one was like your situation---she wanted UPS to give drivers the ENTIRE day off in Texas because of a thin layer of ice might develop in some areas OVER NIGHT, even though the weather forecasters said that it would be melted by 10:30 AM that morning....And another moaned the fact that some drivers sat idle for 4 hours when they should shorten their shifts to give them more family time with their kids....SMH!!!  No wonder deliveries have gone to heck recently.....

On one package that I needed for a special occasion I  paid EXTRA for a UPS premium for a front door delivery,   but the lazy driver dumped it off at the Condo Mail Center instead of to my condo unit front door as I requested, even my UPS My Choice stated that it was a delivery to my FRONT DOOR, and it was on the shipping label as well..... When I complained to UPS basically everyone passed the buck and my complaint was basically ignored, they didnt accept responsbility at all!!! So I requested a partial refund for paying UPS preimum and they told me to contact the vendor, when it was THEIR DRIVER'S FAULT!---🙄.

UPS used to be excellent in their service and realiability....even USPS is better at this point which isnt saying much 🙄  After several UPS problems with packages I even called and spoke to their Corporate Ofice and told them to mark my words I see the handwriting on the wall and probably in a few years Amazon will be taking over the delivery business...unless UPS starts improving their Customer Service. Already a lot of Ebay Vendors are using Amazon FOR DELIVERY!!!---that speaks VOLUMES!

And this decline and poor service started way before the pandemic, or holiday shopping, increase in online shopping or staffing shortages....Amazon seems to have little problem figuring out the logistics for delivery and they are primarily a retail company selling merdchandise and offering streaming services and technology and delivery is just part of their service.....

Re: ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!

@Spurt - I've just gotten finished writing to the Social Team about my Sweet Sam's Lemon Pound cake delivered this afternoon.

Completely thawed (says on box "Keep Frozen"), most of the slices broken, the icing on the top melted and mostly gone.  Clearly, it hadn't been handled well and why they decided to "delay delivery for one business day" is beyond me.

It's clearly marked for food and it sat at my local depot for two days (obviously not even refrigerated).  And to top it off, the driver has claimed to have delivered it by 8:49 this morning.  Uh, no - we went to lunch at 11:30 and it hadn't been delivered.  It was there, when we got back at 2:00.

I'm done ordering any food from QVC until these issues are dealt with; it's completely unacceptable to the customers and the vendors who are working hard to keep their businesses going.  Smiley Sad

I placed an order for a TSV on 3/6.

It now has a delivery date of 3/22.

I won't be ordering again from QVC

With all complaints & issues, you should have taken it into consideration before you ordered.

Re: ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!

Well, I have to agree. I ordered a jacket that was available on March 5, it did not ship until March 15, why? If they do not have the item, do not take the order. I still do not have the jacket.......Yes, this is ridiculous.
