@Shanus

I had mentioned on another thread that the promo for this show annoyed me because of multiple mentions of "peeing in your pants."

Seriously?

As I posted today on another thread, this type of programming makes me sad for QVC.

It could have been a wonderful opportunity for showcasing classic fashions, makeup tips and any number of subjects that might appeal to a mature audience.  Yet, QVC chose to set the bar as low as possible.

I have not watched, but it sounds like it's nothing I would be remotely interested in.

Several posters mentioned being "up tight" and the like.

For me, it is not that, but a belief that talking about certain issues in a base, joking or sexually suggestive way will have some appeal.

It does not.

Since I no longer watch, I have no vested interest, but it seems when given the opportunity, QVC opts for the lowest common denominator of programming.

@Witchy Woman   You defintely expressed how many of us feel. For those who love this type of show, go right ahead. I personally feel it is insulting to women over 50 and beyond.

Well said. Give people a remote and they still refuse to just change the channel.

@Witchy Woman

I agree. Well stated!

@Shanus

I find it insulating and demeaning to woman of ALL ages. Never seen the show as I don't watch QVC anymore but from what I've read here, I'm good with my decision.

I can't watch that show for more than 10 minutes lol. Shawn was doing a presentation with the the Doll 10 vendor and Mally was sitting off to the side with the model. While Shawn was talking the camera panned over to Malley, and she was making some pretty odd faces 😆! That's her competition. Then she came over and was agreeing with EVERYTHING Shawn said of course. It looked terribly staged like most of these shows are!

There are plenty of shows on QVC for those who want slow talking, low energy, and mild presentations. It seems like some posters want every show to be like that. Shopping is fun for me. I don't relate to the sedate hosts and vendors, some of whom seem very old regardless of age. If you relate to that, great! Realize though, that some of us want people to whom we can also relate. We like more modern hosts with a younger more energetic spirit. I don't think anyone talks too fast or is too loud (though if they were, I would just lower the volume). I don't watch the channel to relax, but mainly to get fashion and beauty ideas. I also like interactions between hosts and between hosts and vendors, especially when the chemistry is good. I enjoy seeing them have fun. I do want the pertinent information, but since I don't see shopping as such a serious thing, I enjoy the combination of personalities and information.

I have been watching on and off since the beginning. I remember the dolls and tchotchkes and definitely do not have any desire for QVC to return to those days in any way, shape, or form. Not every show is for every person, and that's how it should be. There are hosts and vendors I'm not inclined to watch but I don't expect the channel to make every show what I'd like it to be. There should be room for everyone.

(Also, there have been a lot of comments about "class". The classiest people I know don't make a habit of trashing people  and being unaccepting of different types of people. Nothing the hosts, vendors, and network are doing is hurting anyone.)

“…nevertheless, she persisted.”

@LorelaiGilmore , I think your post was very well stated.  I would like to sincerely apologize to anyone that I have hurt or insulted in my previous posts.  I have given a great deal of thought over a week or so, and have decided that maybe I am not a good candidate for social media.  Just throwing out my thoughts about this matter wasn't important enough if it offended or angered someone.  So for that I am truly sorry.  I realize now that one size does not fit all.

I'm watching a rerun show and liking everything I'm seeing.

Embroidered camo joggers (nice and sold out in many sizes); American leather satchel a(look at that berry color).
All good!

Mallys bark is bigger than her bite. I bought her mascara one time and I had nothing but spider lashes. Too much hassle to send back. She is wild and crazy and the q has made it too easy for her not to act professional!

The after show is fabulous
I watched Dr. Denese and she was so fantastic. When the aftershow is on Mally has a guest and the guest tells a bit about their past life. Honestly Doris Dalton was very fun to watch. Rachel Boseing was a good interview because I did not think I cared for her but after watching the show I found that I really like her alot. You really can't judge a book by the cover. I highly recommend watching the aftershow .
