I guess I got used to mostly 5 EP'S for so long and now they mostly offer 2 , 3 once in awhile .   At first I wasn't liking it ,  but now I find myself pausing and thinking it through before hitting place order.   It gives me time to consider before impulsively buying.  So saves me money and not as many returns.

I do like the 5 EP'S  when they do show up so can use on something I may have had my eye on that msy be a little pricey though.

I understand your point but for me personally @Kitty Galore , if I see something but I must have 5 easy payments to afford it, I probably shouldn't buy it.

I really like how sometimes HSN offers several options, 1 payment or 2,3,4 and sometimes 5 easy payments. I prefer 2 payments, sometimes but rarely 3 payments.

Since I have and use my Q card for all puchases, I still get 5 EZ Pays on everything everyday.

@cjm61 I agree with you.  Five easy pays just prolongs the debt...so I don't use that option.  Considering the way things are today..I think twice before buying.  Want vs. need.

I vastly prefer 2 or 3 Easy Pays over 5.  I don't want to make payments on a purchase for 5 months.  I've often NOT BOUGHT an item because I didn't want all those payments and there was no alternative like HSN offers.

I think the 5 easy pays was a good option because you have the opportunity to use it and then pay it off at any point. You were not locked in but now it is 2 or 3 and buyers are walking away instead of purchasing. I think they just shot themselves in the foot for many buyers who don't want their Q card. Do I think it will help them financially to crawl out of their deep financial crisis, I seriously doubt it.

It is a nice option.  You can always pay it off anytime you want.

@RespectLife @I just don't wish to have a Q card.  Been pre approved in the past ,  but have  passed on it .   Dont need another cc.

@Kitty Galore @RespectLife  -  I really like the little perks from the Q card.  I also like keeping my Q purchases separate from my other credit cards.

I'll take 5 EP.  Doesn't bother me one bit.  Pay the Q card off each month.  Works for me.

I loved the 5 easy pay option.  It allowed me to make more purchases and pay them off over time (or earlier if I chose to).  I was also able to buy things that were a little bit pricier, without feeling it.

The 2 easy pay option has me thinking twice and I haven't really purchased much of anything since they changed over to that.  However, it is nice to be done paying off something in two months.
