How tragic. Has QVC released a statement what caused the fire ? I fear it may have been a discarded cigarette.

I'm thinking lithium ion batteries.

I agree, or something electrical.

A discarded cigarette is the last thing which would have occurred to me.

My thoughts too. It had to be a class of fire that was difficult to extinguish to spread so quickly and create enough smoke to be fatal. The warehouse no doubt had an alarm system and sprinklers. All warehouse employees would have received evacuation training with designated evacuation routes and meet areas. Perhaps as a newly hired contract worker this young man hadn't completed his safety training (although I doubt that). Someone will be accountable. So tragic, so sad. Prayers for his little boy and all his family. Really heartbreaking.

Perhaps the family asked them to withhold his name in press releases until they had made arrangements?

Or perhaps until other family members/friends could be notified of his death, before reading it online or in newspapers.

Excellent points.  Thank you.
