Dog was barking at something out the front door, husband got up to check it out. Gave a thumbs up to the dog, that all was well. I said, she doesn't understand that, he said, she's smart, sure she does. I said, no she doesn't she doesn't have thumbs!  ROFLOL. I swear! LOL

That is funny, and makes a good joke to tell.

On the other hand, it is how dogs learn.

If my dog is barking, I say "Let's go see," and we go to the front door and open it.  Then usually whatever it was has passed by so I tell her "All gone, and she is satisfied and no longer needs to bark.  I like our system.  She does her job, but doesn't overdo.
