WOW! Chewy, A Very Special Company!

After placing an order online with Chewy, I contacted a Customer Service Representative to have my cat Puddin removed from the My Pet section of my account since she recently passed away. The Representative was very kind, expressed her condolences, and said she would transfer Puddin to the Memorial Section. I thanked her for her kindness. A couple days had passed and there was a knock on my door, a delivery person had a bouquet of flowers for me, I thanked her. I read the card and it was from Chewy offering me their condolences on Puddin's passing. I am so AMAZED and APPRECIATIVE of Chewy's caring and thoughtfulness and always going above and beyond to make their customers feel like we are special and part of the Chewy family and KNOW THAT THEY REALLY DO CARE ABOUT US AND OUR PETS!!  It's a rareity in this day and age to find this kind of customer care and service!

They also sent flowers when my cat died. It was such a lovely response and I appreciated it so much that I now send flowers to close friends when they lose a pet. I sent a note to a co-worker when her dog died, as well as a note to my niece when her dog died, along with a photo I had when she first got the dog. She said the photo is now in a frame on her bed-side table.

I didn't get flowers.  But when I cancelled my automatic ship because my cat had died they sent a nice card.

I also got a card from his vet signed by all the staff.  A card from the emergency vet and some friends.  Some businesses are so kind.

We have received flowers anytime we have called in to cancel a a prescription refill but when I called to cancel an autoship of a special food we received a card. Maybe it depends on the person taking the call. They are a great organization, always go the extra mile to try to help.

@Spurt - When my dog died, I was also sent a bouquet of flowers in a glass vase from Chewy. My dog was a golden retriever, and I was sent yellow/golden colored flowers. I still have the card that came with it.

That kind gesture from Chewy meant a lot to me, too.

That's interesting.  When we lost our beloved Tonkinese earlier this year, I cancelled the autoship for her special food and told them why.

We got no acknowledgment at all.  No flowers, no card.

I still like and order from Chewy, but I wonder why the difference in how they respond.  It shouldn't depend upon whom deals with it, IMO.

However, we did get a handwritten note from our vet and the staff.  That was kind.

@Venezia - I am surprised by your experience. Perhaps the person who sends out the flowers and expression of sympathy notecards was out sick, or on vacation, or perhaps moved onto a different position when your dear dog died?
