I did not see your original post and did not see your second post right away. I am so sorry for your loss as well as for the difficult but courageous decision you had to make to say good bye to your fur child. Your post really touched me. Like so many others, I know how painful such a loss is. I hope going forward that happy memories of your buddy help ease your pain.

@MASSMOM I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved boy.

You did the right thing for him but I know you are heartbroken and inconsolable. May God watch over you in your grief.

making that decision is the hardest thing I know from experience.

we tend to doubt , did we do the right thing could he have been okay ??

It happened to us when our sweet kitty of 18 yrs fell off the bed and couldn't walk, he was paralyzed. rushed to vet and they suggested that if surgery was done it would have been a long recover with no guarantee he would ever be able to walk . He had diabetes , and respiratory issues, we opted to euthanize.
you gave him the gift of love , he is no longer in pain . It does get better day by day although we wil always love them. Happy you are doing well considering.
