Re: THE PET CHAT CORNER SEPT. 18 - SEPT. 24

      @beastielove  Heart

Thank you ~always~ for a thoughtful FULL OF endearing notes ....understanding post tweeties that I had read a few minutes ago.

Have you, in your estimation, summed up approximately (about) how many kittens to cats, dogs to pups that still need homes?

I posted the first of September that 'we' -my city/county has all of the Katy, Texas nursing home's residents- the video that went viral, -here-, along with more than I could know of carriers ...many pets that belonged to families that had no ability to take during the hurricane Harvey flooding. I would hope, also, for all the homeless wandering ' around' animals that absolutely had no home or anyone there to actually create a system of rescue.

What I did learn from TV news throughout many affected areas of Texas was the ones that were found, having no chance -period. Was it as bad as I heard?

As much as I can gather we (volunteers /here) are still driving from here, to there (TX) - helping any strays that were fortunate enough to find a WAY or PLACE to be safe and be alive...not drowning.

Thank you so much for the posted news you had given many days ago, that seem like weeks into months. Cat Happy Heart for beastielove, and to never forget the dogs. I cannot imagine where to begin or how your team began to start.

`Knowing you, there was complete leadership, and that's what I always excelled in, when in charge/ medical.  Leadership is a beautiful trait, but I define it as a God given virtue of gift, called common sense- few have any~ !

           HELLO dear Doxie            @doxie1

I can 'not' remember how many of your thought provoking posts I have read. I keep in touch with many, but love beastielove & Tissyanne.

I am doing great (hahaaaaaaaa) oh yes, after that silly backing into the kitchen counter as I was looking up, ``` and -smack- hit the T '2 & '3 ouch on my vertebrae. Woman Surprised->me.

Remembering back, that was on March 16th. Limping around caused me to seek out a doctor just about late May and by June had a 3 hour mri in segments...'was I ever tired'!

The radiologist found not 1 tear but 2- when I fell full force on the (R) femur (hip bone) and tore the thin tissue and inner -let's say glue- that holds the bone to tendon-to ligament.

"..... if I were not of much weight, I probably would have crushed that bony surface to smatherines"..... BUT! I do remember my past lab work when I was due for a dexa scan; stats pointed out that I had the bone strength of a 20 year old, and that's possibly what saved me (??)

My husband is fine and back at his business (work) schedule 3 days out of 7.  I am finally out of my ICU infectious disease unit and bearing 'out' and away on all post surgical patients- the surgery unit was rush and oh so many head traumas.  FOOTBALL and all of its Glory as a god.

I actually love being home, staying up late and sleeping in 'til noon. It is very quiet and so lovely living right next (almost) within the wooded forest.

Our son is doing very well and we __get to__see him about every 3-5 weeks, time permitting.

DOXIE! how have you been, as truth be told? And, any family and pets?

I am not here every day, nor do I get a chance to read many postings, so I shout out..I am catching up a lot.

I could dwell... and have been thinking about a trip back to *Hawaii, again. Just not the time.

Our son loves to go to Saint Martin for snorkeling whenever he has time for a nice long stay.

I have much sadness for the destruction that has destroyed all of what I hear and see. The people and their homes..[all gone], nothing to come back to, along with the tears of trauma loss / memories from generations.

Please post me a line when you find the time -i would love to have an one- one chat.   GREAT hearing from you, any time.

Sending much respect and many hugs for you, with lot-a-love~

Retraction of above post, MINE... It read as though I WAS very

heavy, no- - - the opposite, tiny body and very little cushion 'fat'.

I certainly meant to say if ~"heavier"~, I would have had more weight bearing down on my femur.

@    Odd, how I worded that, @doxie1 Woman LOL  (??!) "must be age", NAH)?
