SO True!  I'm going out to eat tonight for a birthday celebration and all I can think about is getting back home to my dogs LOL

We LOVE our Golden Retriever!  I'm home a lot, but when I'm out I think about her quite a bit.  I guess I carry her in my heart.  ❤

I am looking for help with separation anxiety for my 17 yo dog.  When I am out of the house, he paces back and forth constantly.  This started about two years ago.  He's deaf so leaving the tv on doesn't help.  I have tried CBD calming chews, Composure and from the vet a pheromone collar.  None of it helps. I'm now waiting from the vet a powder to sprinkle on his food, this is not a prescription sedative. The vet seems reluctant to prescribe a sedative.  I live alone and have a security camera where I can check on him.  Any advice?  I'm not out of the house a lot but I do go out to dinner once in a while and feel so guilty leaving my dog alone.  I have two cats and occasionally dog sit my daughter's dog.  It doesn't matter that there is animal company for him...he wants his mom.  Help!

@Sunny515

You might want to ask your vet but our vet suggested Benadryl when our older dog first came here. He had separation anxiety when I left the house. He's fine now.

Just a thought--but have you tried the "tunder shirt" for dogs?  I've read where that helps with anxiety and it doesn't have to be a storm. Good luck.
