I have to admit I am partial to black cats, since I am owned by one.  Every day is National Cat Day around here.  Maybe I'll jump up to get him a treat, when he asks for one, even faster than I usually do.

Awww, I hope National Cat day results in lots of kitty and adult cat adoptions all over this country. 

I'm more of a dog person but if I could, I'd have both.  I did hear from my sister (who has 3 as well as 2 dogs) that her daughter, my neice, put in an application at their local shelter for an almost grown kitten today.

Don't know how I missed this as I've been a cat Mom for decades.  Happy Cat Day to my girl, Jasmine, who I adopted 9 years ago.  She also has a dog sister who I adopted 10 years ago.  Love my furry friends.
