My Most Excellent Dog

I have a 10 year old Shih tzu. She is white and brown and has the most lovely eyes. She loves me as much as I love her. She follows me everywhere! So cute! She sleeps in bed with me. A night I put a little blanket on her and stays there, all bundled up, all night long. In the morning if I am having a lot of pain, she will be sitting on my chest. She seems to know. I just love her so much!

Perhaps if you got her off your chest, you wouldn't have so much pain?

I love shih tzus. My sister's shih tzu is 11 years old and very sweet. She's losing her hearing and has just developed Cushings. She seems to be doing well on her meds though.

@Mother Cat I have a 9 year old Shih Tzu who is also such a sweet heart. Like your girl, she tries to take care of me when I'm sick or in pain. I found my girl at the city animal shelter. At the time I thought I was rescuing her, but it has turned out that she rescued me!

@Mother Cat How precious! Enjoy your sweet friend. Our pets do bring such joy and love into our lives and really ask for so little in return. I love my two dogs so much as well.

I truly understand your joy at having such a devoted little animal in your life......I had a mini grey poodle for 15 1/2 yrs who i adored.....she would stick to me like velcro when i would get home from work, etc. I never stopped hearing what a great dog she was from others....she even convinced my mother to get a mini poodle when my mom took care of her for a short while.....She at the end had health issues, etc. and I had to make the horrible decision to end her suffering.......but i miss her all the time...just give your little furbaby a hug...........you are a lucky lady...
