A small accounting firm in Denver has a cat named Kevin who wandered in off the street two years ago and never left. He sits in on every meeting, always in the same chair.
Last week the owner made it official and gave Kevin an employee badge, a title, and his own nameplate on a desk.
Clients reportedly love him. Kevin has yet to submit any actual work.

I once had a cat that more or less lived in my office, he came and went when I did, had a vest and leash. . . but he knew his place was in my office, when the door buzzed he went to the back and under my desk. One of our newer outside sales folks was afraid of cats and told me that it was her or the cat. . . I told her I was going to miss her.

Congratulations, Kevin!
We "inherited" my late MIL's cat...when she couldn't get along with our two kitties, we moved her to our office. She lived there very happily for 7 years. She would come to greet most visitors, and look in on meetings in the conference room, then go back to her bed on DH's desk.
I was surprised at how many of our clients also had cats in their offices!

There's always that ONE employee who gets away with doing nothing. He head butts the boss, turns on his charms and pretends to be an important PURR-son. He meows the loudest when called out on his behavior and has been known to turn his backside to his critics. The boss has fallen prey to this predator and even has gone so far as to order in fish at lunchtime. Gee, he was even given his own litter box. Bonuses? Every week it's a new toy. And we hear this employee is known to go on catnip benders every now and then, although he seems to keep that under the table.
And HE gets the promotion??? I'm sorry if I sound catty, but . . .
Okay, I'm lying. He's beautiful and handsome and we all love him.

Way to go Kevin!![]()
I went to a vet's office once that had a resident office cat who was on the front counter and greeted the guests as they arrived. So cute and made you feel right at home![]()
