Poor babies. Most offices are pretty empty these days, so maybe offices are a new great place for wildlife.....

No idea, but my best guess is that when people evacuate an area due to some sort of emergency, doors get left open, things get left behind ... when a fire is coming near to where you live, your priorities change real fast.   

These two little ones were looking for shelter because I'm sure they smelled the smoke and knew it was "danger".
