I just love happy endings!
This is the moment a mother dog frantically crawled into her flooded den to rescue her four puppies from drowning.
Dramatic footage shows the dog squeeze under a concrete patio in Dong Nai, Vietnam after a sudden downpour swamped her owner's garden.
She paws at the ground to get inside the flooded den as owner Bao Li scoops out the water with a bucket.
The mutt, named Lu, eventually emerges with the puppies in her mouth. With some help from the owner giving CPR, all four were saved.
Owner Binh Dao Thi said: 'While there's life, there's always hope.
'Heavy rain made the dog's lair soaked in water and it was flooded. There was nothing the mother could do about that. But she went back to rescue her puppies.
She's originally a dog from an island. She's so loyal and protective of her children.
'There were four that she brought back out of the hole. They all survived and they have recovered.'
'I'm sure that no more are in there because the mother would never have left them'.

Me too!
It's nice to see 'good' news with so much bad news going on in the world today!
Sometimes we just need a reason to smile!

I'm glad they were all fine in the end, but it's not surprising. Mammals especially have a strong maternal bond with their offspring, since their young require nursing and nurturing from birth.

I agree, but most animals are smarter than most humans and have a lot more common sense, IMO!
