Re: COULD USE SOME ADVICE...

@eddyandme  I have standard poodles.  The biggest is 53 lbs.  Their normal kibble amount is just under a cup.  I reduce it to a 3/4 cup and I add 3 (rounded) Tbs of pumpkin.  If I haven't used it all, I toss after a week.  Since you have a smaller dog, I think a TBS is enough.  Maybe freezing in ice cube trays might reduce waste?

Shadow was listed on facebook as a ten yr old dog, once crippled but walking now, desparately needing a home.  He came with lots of meds and had to call the dr's office in NYC since one med dosage was according to wt.  He wasn't 30lbs as stated, he was around 53lbs when in hospital.  He gained 5 more by the time the meds ended (prednisone makes them very hungry!).  So, I'll go by your amounts.  Think I'll to the ice cube thing 'cause he likes variety.

Thank you so much - he's back to eating normally again!
