Thank you for your thoughts. I've lived in the Raleigh area for 40 years now and fortunately haven't had problems from Florence.
I'm sorry I haven't been on the forum in ages but I appreciate your thoughts.
I hope you and all of your fur babies are doing well.
We have a new elderly neighbor who doesn't speak English. She loves my dog Tiki and always wants to give him cookies. I have to brush up on my Spanish so I can communicate to her that Tiki doesn't need those extra calories.

It was such a nice surprise to see your
post! I'm so glad that you weren't affected
by the destruction that Florence caused
and that you and Tiki are safe and sound.
Please do stop by again when you have a chance.
Sending lots of Pancake Hugs your way!

I recently found out that Cousins Maine
Lobster is going to be opening a restaurant
and retail store at 77 Lexington Avenue
on October 27th.
You'll be able to buy lobster meat by
the pound,lobster cakes,crab cakes and
OMG...lobster mac and cheese!!!
Would love to go there even though
I'm not far from NYC (25 miles NW)
but getting there will be a hassle.
Don't want to drive because of the cost
of gas,the insane bridge tolls, the equally
insane parking fees and of course the
"lovely drivers" that I'll be encountering
on the roads!
The only sane way would be to take
the train (love the train!) from one
of the nearby villages here in the county
to Hoboken,NJ then take the PATH to
Manhattan.Even so..too much like work!
Guess you'll be the lucky one who gets
to go and check that place meowt!
Go to their website for more info.
Samantha,Olivia,Henry and Jack
are sending their greetings to Zoe!

It is indeed special to see @adelle38 on this thread.
Once a Pancaker - always a Pancaker
❤️ and hugs to you and your Tiki - I don't need the extra calories either but cookies always seem to find their way to me
@beastielove - I just looked up Cousins and wow their franchise blew up in just a scant 6 years. Restaurants and trucks - I've had Luke's Lobster - small storefronts but multiple locations which looks just like your Cousins website - same lobstermen on boats - lol
There has to be an easier way to get to NYC - I'll treat you to a lobster roll -
com' on down

Sorry, I continue to be in my cocoon of quietness and working through emotions and stuff.
I have physical therapy three times a week, private pilates class twice a week, restorative yoga once a week, FaceTime and assignments with our favorite Pastor three or four days a week (he and his family live in Arizona) grief counseling and other stuff. Another friend passed away last Friday. Three friends in a short amount of time and remembering my dear dad have left me not remembering my former self. No worries though, I will get back to being just me.
Honestly, the forums IMHO have become very negative and the continuous bickering leaves me exhausted.
Just need more time please, please.
Lubs, hugs and belly rubs for my nieces and nephews please. Including my newest niece, Zoe.
Lubs and hugs for my sweet besties also.

You don't owe us any apologies for
not posting here in a while.
@Yahooey and I are aware of the

in your lives right now and we completely

We also want to let you know that
even though you're not here as often
as you used to be your beautiful
presence is missed and you're always
in our hearts and prayers.
Take as much time as you need
to heal.
Sending you and your DH more
love filled healing prayers and
comfort hugs.
