How beautiful!

My mother had an Irish Setter named Sandy growing up. When he passed, she was so devastated she never had another dog again. But she loved her "granddogs" who gave her much happiness.

@Foxxee @Chessa35

We had two Irish Setters years ago: one was a rescue from owner's suicide and the other joined the 6 year old as a puppy.

They were outside dogs: DH built a heat-controlled double doghouse inside the large garden shed.  They looked at the second attached house and then at DH, almost asking him if they were getting company.  The first night, DH crept out with a flashlight to see how things were going.

As he placed the light, they poked their heads out together from the same house !

They were characters: Rusty- Mr, Dignity and Clancy-Mr. Prancer Dancer.  We would let them in the house after dinner until they got too warm.  What a circus.

The very first night that the puppy arrived, he had to be shown how to make stairs up and down to the rec room.  Rusty was a great teacher !

Still miss them !
