Re: Bassets Don't Usually Get A Lot Of Attention. Let's Give This One Some.

The picture reminded me of the TV show "Coach".  Jerry Van D y k e had a dog named Quincy. And Jerry would bring the dog around in a wagon.

@Foxxee   Love bassetes....like a bigger, heavier beagle! Lol.  They are sweet dogs. We had fostered one many years ago when the kids were young.

Although they are cute and affectionate, she was too heavy to lift into the back of our station wagon and her bark/howl with the windows closed was deafening. We did do the training and socialized her.

 We kept her for almost 6 months and then a wonderful family adopted her.

We adopted/rescued Gracie at 7 years old from a shelter. Gracie passed away at 13 years from Lymphoma, she's missed everyday and was loved. Gracie had one brown eye and one green eye, the bottom of her paws felt like marshmallows.

Gracie was half Basset and Cocker.

Here's Gracie at her last Easter with her daughter Bunnie.

@Foxxee   Those paws are so big, so soft!   I wish my extra chins were that cute!    Is she your dog?

@Reilley

No, but I think they are very cute.

I used to want a Basset decades ago.  What a beautiful dog!
