The shorter bulldogs' (English and French) low center of gravity and stockiness makes them natural boarders.

Check out videos of them (safely) enjoying skateboarding, snowboarding, and surfboarding - most are just drawn to it.

@feline groovy  Watching them surfboard makes me nervous.  Most of them can't swim, and even with life jackets I feel like they could topple over in the water (especially the ocean) and drown.  I do think they probably enjoy going out on the lake with their owners sometimes, but the ocean makes me uneasy.  Maybe that's silly, but that's how I feel.

I feel the same way re: the ocean as they're not natural swimmers.  But as long as (and this is usually the case):

*they have a life vest on

*they're not out too far

*the humans (in the water and on the beach) are closely watching them

*they truly love what they're doing

...I'm OK, as it increases their bond with their parent(s).

BTW, volunteer lifeguards and veterinarians are usually present.
