Cat Lost on Roadtrip Somehow Survives 5 Months in Canadian Rockies Alone, Headed Home for X-Mas

Jeremy Barton was driving from a trip to Alaska, back home to Oklahoma.

Shadow escaped during a rest break & Barton looked for him for hours without luck, and eventually had to tell his devastated family.

The Barton's used social media to constantly circulate Shadow's pic & story, and it paid off.

5 months later they've been contacted by a Canadian couple who found Shadow & was willing to take Shadow to get transported home.

Thank you for printing the resolution of this story. I remember reading the original story about this cat getting away and feeling bad. So happy that it is on its way home for Christmas!

One of the points that stood out to me was if you are ever travelling with a cat in the car, keep a leash on them, attached to their collar.   

Cats can sneak out a door in an instant!
