Birthdays aren't important to me (heck, I don't even remember my own birthday!) so it wouldn't bother me.
What would bother me is if I needed him for something and he didn't call or show up.

First off, Happy Birthday!
I'm sorry that happened to you.
Hopefully they'll come to their senses, apologize and wish you happy birthday.
I know I'm terrible about remembering what the date is and have forgotten or missed very important dates at times. Hopefully this is the case.....
@GingerHead @it's hard to forget two days before Halloween. I don't know. Maybe he will come through with an apology.
I hope so.
Sorry, I don't have kids but I know it doesn't feel good to not have your Birthday acknowledged by people in your life. It's happened to me.....
@GingerHead I have to ask what did you do?
I just let it go and didn't mention it.
Both my dad and my sister have forgotten at different times
If it really bothers you and depending on your relationship, like @DSD2 said, and you feel you need to talk about it to feel better I see nothing wrong with bringing it up.... it doesn't have to be confrontational. You could just start by saying it hurt your feelings, etc....nothing wrong with doing that.

@panda1234. We were in the process of moving one year and I totally forgot mom's birthday. Dad called me and chewed me out royally. I never forgot it again guaranteed.
My son (deceased) rarely remembered my birthday unless he had a girlfriend or, later, wife to remind him. I know how hurtful it can be.

@panda1234 That's up to you, but I wouldn't. There is always the chance that they just simply forgot. Just because you and I don't forget important dates, doesn't mean everyone else is the same way. We tend to forget that, and when they do forget, we take it personally. Men are notoriously bad at remembering important dates, but, that doesn't mean they don't care. It sounds to me like this isn't the norm with your family, so maybe give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

I have daughters, I think they are better than sons about those things. If my daughter forgot I would text her and say "did you forget something" I definetely wouldn't be mad or hurt about it, I'm sure it wasn't on purpose.
My husband is bad about birthdays, his own also. It use to hurt my feelings but he is a good guy so I don't get mad or upset about it anymore.

I won't do anything. For me, the last interesting one was my 21st. Our family does birthdays mostly for kids.
One of my kids never mentions my birthday and that is fine.

I don't give a hoot about my birthday, I don't even remember it, it's just another day. My kids are busy with their families, they take excellent care of them & that's all that matters to me.

My husband and I never made a big deal about our birthdays so neither of our kids do. No big deal for me. I would just sooner forget it but my husbands is 2 days before mine and I always try to remember his. Now when I had surgery that was a different story. My son never called me at all but when my husband has his surgery the following year he called him every day.

Well stated @Alsace Gal
@panda1234 my heart goes out to you. I hope you have other family and/or friends who helped to make your birthday the special day it deserves.
@DSD2 @I guess that's part of the problem for me. I go out of my way to make each families members birthday a special day for them. The rest of my family and friends all made the day special in different ways and I appreciate that. I don't know if I should let this pass or confront him.
I would certainly let him know that it hurt your feelings so badly, that you cried. On your birthday, your special day.
