wildrob... may I suggest to you and others to go easy at first when using the Dawn on your face? It feels drying to me... maybe it wouldn't be in small "doses."

Thanks. I will watch for that. I definitely don't want to go from one extreme (oily) to the other. I have only used it twice so far. I started last night. I'm trying to just use one drop but I am getting more than that. It is hard not to get too much out of an almost full bottle. I don't leave it on my face for long, just rub it on & wash off.

Try diluting it before you use it. Get another container and mix the Dawn with water. That would probably be easier than trying to dilute the product in your hands.

I keep saying to myself that I am going to put it in a spray bottle and use it on the man-made marble in the shower. I use "Clean Shower" now. The Dawn should be OK if not left on, do you think?

I put the Dawn on a scrubbie sponge and do the "foot-cleaning" of the tub while in the shower... the tub is ceramic. The Dawn is taking off soap scum and does a good job on that.

I'd definitely feel a lot better about using Dawn in the shower (while I'm in there) than the heavy duty chemical bathroom cleaners. I do the foot cleaning thing too; much better than trying to climb in there fully dressed and do it. And yes, I would definitely rinse it; I don't think it has those daily shower cleaner leave-on properties.

sneef-i don't care what you do for a living nor what your title is-i do care that you were so kind to let us know of the diverse uses of original Dawn.

i had a bad reaction to something i was using to clean my hair. after spending lots of money on various shampoos and two different dermatologists, along with lots of original listerine and apple cider vinegar, i decided to try Dawn.

well, it worked! thank you a million times. my hair is long to my waist, and after washing with Dawn, i use another product only from my neck down. my hair looks amazing, no more flaking or itching.

do you know why only the orignal should be used? would the advanced power work too? the reason i am asking is that the big box stores do not sell the original.

again thank you so much for your help.

Good idea, thanks.

Oooh, I still have the container my last cleanser came in & I can use that! It is a small container with a pump. It should work great with the diluted Dawn!

I have a pair of khaki pants that got stained with bacitrin. I am going to have to try the Dawn to see if that will get the stain out. Thanks for the tip.

I do have a bottle of the blue Dawn at my desk and I cannot find a list of ingredients on the bottle. It just says 'contains biodegradable surfactants.' It also says that it contains no phosphates.

Try Dawn Power Dissolver..in the blue spray bottle near the dishwashing liquid.it's meant to decrease pots and pans...which it does very well. Years ago consumer reports mag said this was a superior grease stain remover.I tried it an wow...it is amazing.I keep a bottle in the kitchen ad laundry. It removes old stains, fresh stains, grease, motor oil, ring around collars, basically any oily stain or grease. I just spray on,rub in or use a soft toothbrush if it is sturdy fabric. Then rinse in warm water.if it needs more work reapply and let it sit even overnight.

Yes only use a very small amount since it is highly concentrated, like 1/4 of a dime size or less. I look forward to hearing of your results.
